This had been quite frequent even till last week. However, after doing a dist-upgrade to the 7.04 Fiesty Beta, this has stopped.
Now I am getting a couple of similar issues : a) email address auto-complete from ldap : sometimes hangs and freezes the whole evolution window b) search across folders often does a silent disconnect with Evolution backend. Then, inbox etc. shows 2 new messages in the task pane but the 2 messages never get displayed. Restarting evolution sorts it out. Earlier, search used to hang and also give a message about lost connection to evolution backend. Anyways, this is a separate thread. Based on Fiesty updates - this can get closed.
