@Jacopo, we would need a new bug filed for your issue (there can be
subtle differences in the error traces even if the symptoms are
identical).
In any case, I'm fairly sure this is a dupe of our vesafb bug (not
actually an X bug, but rather due to confusion in the plumbing layer),
so will close this out for now.
