You have been subscribed to a public bug: This happened for the first time. It happened directly afther booting. I don't see the KDE graphical interface but i am able to write these lines with Konqueror.
But since October 2006 I have the problem with edgy and now with Feisty that it does not recognize the Monitor and Video-card after boot. And so the Screen-res changes from 1280x1024 to 1024x768 and the Videodriver changes from NVIDIA Series7 nv or nvidia to VESA This error happens never when the Computer is less than about 8 hours off. (When the Computer is only a few hours off - the driver and resolution are always correct.) The computer is completley turned off (no standby) Is it possible that the Nvidia-card has a Bios which looses its defaults? The Computer is a Athlon64 with Nvidia7300 ProblemType: Crash Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Apr 16 16:07:55 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/share/python-support/kde-guidance/displayconfig-restore.py InterpreterPath: /usr/bin/python2.5 Package: kde-guidance 0.8.0-0ubuntu3 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcCmdline: /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/displayconfig-restore ProcCwd: /home/training ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 PythonArgs: ['/usr/bin/displayconfig-restore'] SourcePackage: kde-guidance Traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/displayconfig-restore", line 20, in <module> import ixf86misc ImportError: No module named ixf86misc Uname: Linux training-desktop 2.6.20-14-generic #2 SMP Mon Apr 2 20:37:49 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [apport] displayconfig-restore.py crashed with ImportError in <module>() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107011 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
