Thanks for the help. After doing that, I have the following results after 
setting pulse input connnector to:
Analog Microphone -> 100 volume on alsa "Mic", 0 volume on "Internal Mic" (the 
mic still pics up some sound at a low level though)
Internal Microphone -> 100 volume on alsa "Internal Mic", 0 volume on "Mic". 
Working as hoped.
Analog Line-In -> 0 volume on alsa "Internal Mic", 0 volume on "Mic". Untested 
otherwise.

How do I make this change permanent? I assume it resets on restart?
