I still need to retest with a recent image, but rootwait/rootdelay isn't
going to help here.  This is a stock linaro setup with an initramfs, the
kernel's built-in rootfs handling isn't used - and at any rate, the device
*never* showed up until I removed the card and reinserted.  This wasn't a
question of not waiting long enough.
