Hello Brendan, that was quite some time ago... It was in Ubuntu 9.10 in that hardware test app that was run when we first installed the system (or maybe in the live-cd itself, I'm not sure). I don't use Ubuntu since back then so I can't give what you ask but at the time there were several bug reports about this if I remember well.
