Clean install of Edgy from Alternate CD. Using Firefox for the first
time: Open a web page and then follow a link that wants to open a new
window, it will open a new window.
This is despite the fact that the default option setting in Firefox:
"New pages should be opened in: a new tab".
Setting the option to:
"a new window"
then closing the preferences and then reopening preferences and then checking:
"a new tab"
and closing preferences again results in the expected behaviour.
