Do you mean that when X is started, the USB keyboard works correctly and it doesn't work previously? Can you please attach the output of 'dmesg', 'lsusb -vv' and the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf ? Is this with Ubuntu 6.06 or 6.06.1 ?
