Weel, then the alsamixer and pulseaudio (loudspeaker icon on the upper panel) levels remain as you set, only Rhythmbox volume is decreasing. Can you please reinstall Rhythmbox using Synaptic Package Manager (Gestore pacchetti) under System - Administration, type rhythmbox in the search box, right click on the founded package and mark for reinstallation, Apply.
