This bug is definitely valid and current. I'm having exactly the same issue on 10.10:2.6.35-28 . I'm using a 16GB card formated to EXT2. In Nautilus after a reboot "computer:///" shows that Generic-mulit-card and Filesystem are both present but after inserting the SD card and then "Safely Removing Drive" then "Generic-mulit-card" no longer appears.
If I format the card to EXT4 the situation is much worse. The card is not readable and Ubuntu refuses to shutdown to reboot. This problem is not the Yeti or the Sasquatch of kernel problems. It's real and its reproducible. I hope someone takes it seriously. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/556227 Title: sd card detected only once -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
