PLEASE see what Colin has written and done as a workaround. It is relevant to this bug, since we are having the same problem.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/87909 ** Description changed: My PCMCIA sound card, the Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS worked perfectly under Dapper (6.06) and Edgy (6.10). For some reason, it refuses to work under Feisty (7.04) beta. I update daily, but still no results. It appeared as the default sound output under Feisty (which it didn't in Dapper or Edgy) and doesn't work. Another chap is having the same issue http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=405798 + + Colin has a workaround at his bug-report. Please note that indeed + Preferences > Sound is broken as far as selecting a default sound card. + + https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/87909 -- Audigy 2ZS PCMCIA Doesn't Work under Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105382 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
