Well, I didn't make it to 5 days, 4d 11h and it froze. I also just noticed the OP uses a M3N78 Pro with an onboard GeForce 8300.
I'm more convinced than ever now that this USB/mouse freeze bug has to do with the onboard GeForce 8200-8300 Chipset. As far as my current workaround...I'll just plan a reboot at 4 days. But there must be something the dev's can do about this as my expertise stops at building systems and installing/customizing OS's and software. I can write scripts but that's the limit of my coding ability. If there will be no active investigation from someone with the ability to trace down the kernel code pertaining to the GeForce 8200-8300 chipsets. I guess I'll be looking at a new Mobo, but we all know how that works...New MB, better get faster RAM, newer CPU and a hotter Nvidia GPU card, so $$$$ lol. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627862 Title: USB Mouse freezes randomly but consistently -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
