I want to get this bug report back to its topic please. I can reproduce the OPs issue on my ideapad z460.
I herewith try to make the issue clearer: 1) Physics and look: The mentioned mute key physically is no real key, it's a touch sensitive spot above the keyboard, but it reports a normal keypress to the OS. So for the OS it's a normal key. This touch sensitive spot gets lit up when pressed and gets dark when pressed again. This works all fine. The light has the form of a striked out loudspeaker symbol. 2) Function: This mute button works just fine, it mutes and unmutes audio without problem. 3) Problem: The issue now is that this indicator light is lit up when audio is on and it's dark when audio is muted. Since the icon is a striked out loudspeaker this means this is wrong, it has to be lit up when muted and be dark when unmuted. I hope I could make that clear and somebody has an idea now which part of ubuntu this bug might be located and can move this report correctly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661952 Title: lenovo g460 [HDA-Intel - HDA Intel] mute softkey incorrect status -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
