Also note: this is not WISHLIST importance. It is CRITICAL. If I had not been the first one to spot this behavior on my system, I could have faced disciplinary action and possibly lost my job. At a minimum, IT's response would have been immediately to lock-down all "non-standard" installs which includes a host of other tools like wireshark, firefox beta, chrome beta, soapui, etc. that are much more important to my work than screensavers. Having to individually justify every single package from a source (because we can't trust that source) is too much to expect... we'll just default to supported platforms like Windows with a contract guarantee. This may not be an enlightened response, but it is the likely response.
To treat the effect of this in such a cavalier way is to severely misunderstand the Ubuntu professional population on the front lines of adoption and IMHO cripples and subverts the outreach effort for Ubuntu.
