I came to file a new bug, but I think this bug is basically what I'm experiencing, so I'd like to confirm it.
Machine is standard big-brand P4 with integrated Intel graphics. Distro is Ubuntu Feisty i386, current as of today 2007-04-14. I enabled compositing and acceleration in xorg.conf (using this guide: http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/BerylOnFeisty ) and then installed beryl. I can run beryl-manager and have nice 3D effects or exit it and use metacity. I installed libdvdread3 and libdvdcss2 and I can put in a DVD and totem comes up and plays it (under metacity). If I try to play the dvd while using beryl, totem plays the DVD, but the video window stays blank. If I switch to full-screen mode, the video either comes on OR i get some unusual window artifacts but no video. If I switch back to regular size, maybe the video will show up or maybe it will stay black. If I move the window around, maybe it will show up or maybe it will stay blank. After a couple of moves/resizes, it is possible to watch the DVD successfully, so it is ALMOST perfect. If I close totem, exit beryl, play DVD again, no problem. Close totem, start beryl-manager, start DVD, erratic display/blank. ** Changed in: beryl-core (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed -- Video with totem and beryl https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/97028 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
