Running your command: # dpkg --configure -a Setting up portmap (6.0.0-2ubuntu5) ... There are RPC services which were registered with the portmapper before the configuration was changed. You need to manually restart them in order for the changes to take effect. Current registered services: ------------------------------------------------ 100024 1 udp 59244 status 100024 1 tcp 32898 status 100021 1 udp 34084 nlockmgr 100021 3 udp 34084 nlockmgr 100021 4 udp 34084 nlockmgr 100021 1 tcp 54754 nlockmgr 100021 3 tcp 54754 nlockmgr 100021 4 tcp 54754 nlockmgr ------------------------------------------------
Restarting portmap: #/etc/init.d/portmap restart Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service(8) utility, e.g. service portmap restart Since the script you are attempting to invoke has been converted to an Upstart job, you may also use the restart(8) utility, e.g. restart portmap restart: Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.56" (uid=1000 pid=3662 comm="restart portmap ") interface="com.ubuntu.Upstart0_6.Job" member="Restart" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0 destination="com.ubuntu.Upstart" (uid=0 pid=1 comm="/sbin/init")) Seems like it's ok. One note I was restart my PC after that problem was happend. May be this is why it's ok now? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/735244 Title: package portmap 6.0.0-2ubuntu5 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
