Hi,
I think the autohide behaviour for nm-applet in ubuntu natty (perhaps maverick
too) needs to be disabled. I have noticed that when a 3G modem is plugged in,
the applet doesn't automatically reappear to say there are any connections
available. the only way to 'wake' it up to reappear seems to be plugging
something into the ethernet port assuming that interface is managed by NM.
