Reformatted the entire hard drive to start installing Windows XP SP3 and Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal from scratch.
I installed Windows to fill the entire hard drive and succeeded. Then I attempted to install Natty by resizing the Windows partition and making a new partition for Natty. Installation failed. Just before it failed, I saw a line which said "ubuntu ubiquity: grub- probe: error: unknown filesystem". I don't know if that is helpful, but it stood out to me. I'm now going to attempt to install Natty without installing Windows first. ** Attachment added: "/var/log/syslog (third attempt)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/733541/+attachment/1902686/+files/syslog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733541 Title: installer crashed -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
