Reformatted the entire hard drive to start installing Windows XP SP3 and
Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal from scratch.
I installed Windows to fill the entire hard drive and succeeded. Then I
attempted to install Natty by resizing the Windows partition and making
a new partition for Natty. Installation failed.

Just before it failed, I saw a line which said "ubuntu ubiquity: grub-
probe: error: unknown filesystem". I don't know if that is helpful, but
it stood out to me.

I'm now going to attempt to install Natty without installing Windows
first.
