Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xsane

In Feisty Fawn with the xsane version : xsane-0.991
I loaded a binary firmware for my Agfa scanner Snapscan e20 like I used to do
with the previews ubuntu versions and indicated the path in snapscan.conf.
The scanner is supported but I have frequently some crash :
- When launching the scanner, I got a popup with the message in french "Erreur
d'ouverture du périphérique 'snapscan:libusb:002:002': Erreur d'I/O sur le
périphérique". When relaunching xsane, no problem.
- I must click 2 times on the preview button of xsane because the first time a
crash occurs with the popup message :"Echec du démarrage du scanner Erreur
d'I/O sur le périphérique." When I click a second time, no problem, I can scan.
It's the first time I meet these problems with this scanner on linux, I hope it
isn't damaged

** Affects: xsane (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
