A week ago, I was ready to declare this bug "fixed" in the Natty Alpha code.
Then, two days ago I went through a dist-upgrade evolution and now the
corruption is back worse than ever. Right now, not even the "radeon modeset=0"
fix will make it work (which worked for the longest time for me). Whatever
just came down the pipe in the Alpha for 11.04 is a giant step backward. Since
over 500MB of packages changed when I did the dist-upgrade, I can't pinpoint
precisely what package change it was that hosed me again, but I suspect it's
the xserver-xorg-video-ati package.
None of my hardware has changed, specs the same as above.
