Candidate builds for FF 3.6.15 are available at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/3.6.15-candidates/. Those who see this bug should try them out.
Note that one apparent problem with these builds, reported above, turns out to be a different issue (one that also happens in IE8).
