Fixed in branch linked (only works for themes that choose to render the
items in alternating colours. Where a user's theme doesn't render in
this way, it will not do so - this would also be the case in Nautilus I
suspect)
Note, this bug is a matter of opinion (with which I happen to agree) and
the spec writer may not agree so this fix making it into USC is not a
given.
