I have the same problem on 10.10. I tried using all eclipses (original
3.5.2 from ubuntu, 3.6, 3.6.1, 3.6.2, 3.7 from eclipse org). It happens
on all of them. I have amd64 machine. I looked on internet and someone
proposed to remove open java, which I did, with all other weird java
versions and types... I have left with sun-1.6.0_22, which still doesn't
works... I also tried switching from GNOME to KDE and it's still same. I
am getting desperate... System slows down and then freezes...
