Hello Christopher. ** Yet ! Sorry for my bad English below. 2011/2/25 Christopher M. Penalver <cp9...@albany.edu> > > Hirwen HARENDAL, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make > Ubuntu better. Could you please attach the Writer file and fonts that > this issue occurs with?
** Not possible for commercial ones ! DéjàVu fonts are included in the distro. For ADF fonts, all of them are available at : http://arkandis.tuxfamily.org/fonts.html (not from debian packages since they aren't updated and don't used font name by collection). I decided during the summer 2010 to rework font naming using WPF specifications and opentype font naming PDF by Thomas Phinney from Adobe. This was the best way to rule problems reported by fedora font team and some users with font names. - Note: Archlinux packager uses the last version of the fonts and no problem are reported for now. > Does this issue occur for you in LibreOffice Writer? ** I'm using LibreOffice since version 3.3 RC2. All families are available separately in the font selection panel. I think that they are managing using these "TTF family name" rather than family name or prefered OT family name. If that works, but no corresponding to the WPF font selection model specifications. But, but but, more easy to switch one family to an other like this, and like in openoffice on WIN. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/text/archive/2007/04/23/wpf-font-selection-model.aspx - But Arial doesn't work in Word like described in the PDF too... ** No new test with Abiword. ** No problem with Scribus.
