Welcome in the club. I meanwhile also switched from Lucid-amd64 to Squeeze-amd64 on my desktop. That apperas the logical conclusion because I am tired of bothering with Canonical-made problems and instabilities. The move is really easy and lots of essential packages are even more up- to-date in Squeeze. Moreover you can expect 3 years of service of *all* packages instead of a tiny fraction thereof for 2 years from now on in Lucid.
