You say that evolution crashes on load - is it possible for you to run a Strace showing a crash? Please follow instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Strace, and attach the file to this bug report. Also, as it appears that when you have a successful load you have random crashes, is it possible to run a Memory Test, following the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MemoryTest and attaching the output in this bug report.
