Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdebi
==Steps to reproduce== When trying to install a package with the command line version of gdebi, one has to confirm that the installation of the package is really wanted. In the German version of gdebi this confirmation message reads: "Wollen Sie das Software-Paket installieren? [j/N]:" However, the two given options "j" (for yes) and "N" (for no) don't work. Everything other than "y" (for yes) aborts the installation. ==Proposed fix== Either the translation string has to be changed to something like: "Wollen Sie das Software-Paket installieren? ['y' für ja/'N' für nein]:" Or maybe the application should guess the actual character from the last part of the localized string. (Or probably there's even a better solution for such things :-)) ==Version information== I'm using the default gdebi installation under Ubuntu Edgy. ** Affects: gdebi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Command line version: given confirmation characters are wrong (in German translation) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
