actually ipython only depends on python2.6, python and python-pexpect
the rest are all optional features installed over recommends.

to not install them use apt-get install --no-install-recommends or change 
APT::Install-Recommends.
But one could think about splitting the ipython package into smaller parts as 
many probably not need all extras at once.
