I have been affected by this bug too, but you guys realy have to
consider faulty routers. Bring your laptop to a different AP and try if
this is the reason.

Lot's of routers are equipped with linux firmeware these days and as a
laptop driver may be affected, as much a router may be the reason too.

There have been some very strange bugs with Linux wifi implementations,
where both a faulty router firmware and a faulty laptop firmeware added
up to a working combination. As the laptop got a new kernel with _fixed_
WIFI stack, the line ceased working, lost speed, couldn't assign an IP
and many other quirks.
