Making a new install on a box with Solaris 10 (x86) on it. Forgot to make a swap partition in the partiton editor; so went back and made 584MB swap space. When got back to mount points dialog sda3 wasn't available in 2 dropdown dialog, so made it blank and used the third dropdown dialog, it was available but installer crashed when I selected it. Was just juggling dialog boxes to see if I could get it to recognize that sda3 was created for a swap space. /var/log/installer/syslog [snip] Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:29 INFO Step_before = stepUserInfo Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:29 INFO switched to page stepPartDisk Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:29 INFO Step_after = stepPartDisk ubiquity: Starting up '/bin/partman' for ubiquity.components.partman.Partman ubiquity: Watching for question patterns ^partman-auto/select_disk$, ^partman-auto/.*automatically_partition$, ^partman-partitioning/new_size$, ^partman/choose_partition$, ^partman/confirm.*, type:boolean, ERROR, PROGRESS unsupported kernelmodules_basicfilesystems kernelmodules_ext3 kernelmodules_jfs kernelmodules_reiserfs kernelmodules_xfs umount_target parted dump update_partitions filesystems_detected auto_mountpoints autouse_swap backup Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:39 INFO switched to page stepPartAuto ubiquity: /bin/partman exited with code 10 Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:50 INFO Step_before = stepPartAuto Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:50 INFO gparted_loop() Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:50 INFO switched to page stepPartAdvanced Sat, 12 Aug 2006 12:00:50 INFO Step_after = stepPartAdvanced Warning: Unable to open /dev/hdd read-write (Read-only file system). /dev/hdd has been opened read-only.
