Public bug reported: When I try to start firefox using the 'run command' dialog, firefox fails to start about half of the times that I try. Usually the second or third time is successfull. When I examine the xsession logs I typically find the following error:
The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 2554 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Firefox often fails to start on kubuntu feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105574 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
