Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird
Simply used the Update Manager to update my system. During the update, an error popped up saying a package did not install/upgrade properly. Also, I was no longer able to left-click on buttons in windows (i.e. I couldn't hit the 'close' button to close the Update Manager window). However, the enter key still worked for this function. After restarting my machine, mouse works just fine. 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu 11.04 alpha 2 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center 3.1.8+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu2 3) What you expected to happen update normally 4) What happened instead error while updating ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: thunderbird 3.1.8+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-1.28-generic 2.6.38-rc2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-1-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Feb 8 18:35:48 2011 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 SourcePackage: thunderbird Title: package thunderbird 3.1.8+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 ** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 natty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/715515 Title: package thunderbird 3.1.8+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
