Absolutely the same bug. I catch it every time i try to create new tex doc or open one. With open drivers this bug do not appear, so i assume this is fglrx trouble. But still, i need 3d acceleration. It is hard to choose between option to work or use my video card with it full potential. OS Ubuntu 10.10, i can confirm that with 10.04 this bug do not appear.
