Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
1.I have been unable to install Aegis VS and reported this a few days ago. 2.Suddenly, on April 10, it installed but no icon appeared under Applications—Accessories as said in the instructions. 3.Searched the registry and found it. 4.Started the application and scanned my files. 5.A log file was created. 6.Tried to update the signature files. 7.Got the message it was some 290 days old but that the update was successful and would be effective after restarting Aegis. 8.Restarted the computer. 9.Searched all files but the Aegis application was not found and the shortcut icon I had created on my desktop was gone. 10.The log file was still there. 11.Uninstalled Aegis and reinstalled it. 12.Could not find any Aegis files in except the old log file. 13.How and where can I get instructions on Aegis suitable for a normal, non-programmer? 14.Will Aegis update the signature database automatically every day? 15.Will Aegis scan incomming and outgoing data automatically?
