In Polish translation on page http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/lucid/pl/man8/init.8.html one read about /etc/inittab. This file isn't present on Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) system and isn't mentioned by English init(8) man page (in Ustart handbook, dated 2010-02-04). English pages init(8) and init(5) are from Upstart and describes init system that don't following SystemV behavior with runlevels. Polish translation describes init with /etc/inittab and runlevels. In Polish: W tlumaczeniu podrecznika init(8) dostepnym na wspomnianej stronie opisany jest klasyczny init rodem z Systemu V opierający się na runlevels i /etc/inittab podczas gdy w Ubuntu 10.04 nie ma w ogóle /etc/inittab i dostępne storny man (angielskie) init(8) oraz init(5) opisują zupełnie inny program init - oparty na zdarzeniach, a nie poziomach pracy.
