I just noticed that package installation now also fails if you disable apport in /etc/default/apport and then reinstall it:
$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall apport [...] start: Job failed to start invoke-rc.d: initscript apport, action "start" failed. dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von apport (--configure): Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück I'm not sure whether this is the same reason (as in above cups case cups should actually start), though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711497 Title: package cups 1.4.5-1ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
