In Ubuntu 10.10, downloaded https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/433061/+attachment/796669/+files/before.odg and opened in libreoffice-draw, clicked Insert -> Duplicate Slide, duplicates the slide without unmerging the duplicate. Please upgrade and test.
