@Aditya- I believe the problem with Sony VAIO brightness keys that you noted in comment #147 is being tracked as bug 658198, the fix for which was applied to Ubuntu Maverick (10.10) just yesterday. I expect that you'll see it fixed by the next Maverick kernel update.
