I installed praat latest version 5.2.11-1 in ubuntu 10.10 It can record and play sounds, draw diagrams etc. I found two bugs:
1) When recordinbg mono sound from web camera you need to tick the selection 'USB Device' and the selection 48000 Hz. After you do that for the first time, the program is not recording. The problem is fixed when you tick the selection ' HDA Intel' and then tick back the previous selection 'USB Device'. 2) It does not write Greek.
