Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
When marking an application for installation, Synaptic freezes and grays out. After a few minutes, it resumes its normal course of action (asking to resolve any dependencies if there are any, for example). I also noticed that after successful installation of packages (while rebuilding the search index, etc.) Synaptic will also grey out. I've had Ubuntu installed for a few days now and today is the first time I've had this problem.
