Public bug reported:

During installation progress it was shown:

We're sorry; the installer crashed. Please file a new bug report at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+filebug (...) Attach the
files /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman:

And later:

The installer encountered an unrecoverable error. A desktop session will
now be run so that you may investigate the problem or try installing
again.

Then some kind of LiveCD is launched. From that I have copied the files
to pendrive.

My computer is Acer Aspire 5102. Previously I had Ubuntu 9.10 but it
just stopped working, without any changes to its configuration done by
me, perhaps because of hard disk drive failure (more here:
http://forum.ubuntu.pl/showthread.php?p=810087). I am not sure if power
management of notebook works completely OK because previously I was
unable to install any Windows (any installer exits unexpectedly at the
very beginning), only installer of Linux was able to succeed. I would be
using it still, but the system crashed.

My mail: johny...@gmail.com
Thanks for help!
