Even thought the gnome bug has been closed as fixed in Gnome 3, the solution of having to drag the "menu bar" to another monitor seems suboptimal to me.
Whenever I hook up an external monitor to my laptop, and have to explicitly enable it (because I disabled it before) in the Monitor Preferences, I really want to make it the primary monitor in that same dialog. A checkbox, as proposed elsewhere, that does the same thing as "xrandr --output VGA1 --primary", along with some kind of marking in the monitor arrangement panel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216144 Title: gnome-display-properties should allow the primary screen to be chosen -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
