To be adding more info: sometimes "restart network-manager" does not work and I need to unload/reload the two kernel modules iwl3945 and iwlcore so that I can get a connection again.
It seems to be most prone to crash when the signal strength is < 60% and when there are many outgoing connections at the same time, e.g. bittorrent traffic or internet surfing. It's actually (almost) stable when there are few connections, such as a single download by wget. I suppose that could lead to testing of some sort... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/425455 Title: [karmic] Wireless LAN disconnects frequently # Chipset Intel 3945ABG @ AP with WPA -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
