The devices I tested this with are (from lsusb): ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. CP210x Composite Device ID 067b:2303 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter
That commit doesn't include any of these. The first two are ZWave dongles, the third one is just a single port serial cable on USB (which can have any serial device on the other end, but for my tests I didn't attach any). Given the increasing number of devices reporting as generic serial cables, blacklisting will probably not work out very well in the long term. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/700316 Title: usbserial stopped working during a recent upgrade, no serial line via usb anymore -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
