I have exactly the same issue. The crashes only occur while actively using the computer. I usually have Amarok, Kopete, Firefox running when this happens.
After the crash I see TTY1 but Amarok keeps playing until I stop/restart KDM. I already used the xorg-edgers ppa to see if this helps, but it doesn't. I downgraded again and the issue is still occuring a few times each day. I've attached the Xorg.0.log from after a crash.
