Well, then don't call it a fix, call it workaround or whatevever. The fact is that for the common people it solves the issue. Maybe it's not the right way, but unfortunately is the closest thing to a solution, people are going to get most of the times in situations like this.
Of course I had the intention to contact the website owner. But note that in my case, the problem is not with a particular website. It's one of the biggest communication groups in Spain, owning a number of regional newspapers, all their respective webs having the same exact behavior. They certainly already know about it anyway, because I have found a number of threads in different forums all pointing to the same issue with different webs of this group. But the fact that this issue only affects a particular version of a particular browser in one particular linux distribution, while every other browser and even the exact same browser version in every other linux distribution and platform works OK, certainly won't help to get it fixed in the website side (assuming they know how to fix it). Also, as I have pointed out, the same problem happens for others too, in other unrelated webs. Thanks for your time anyway. I only filed a bug because I was suggested to do so in the answers section. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705973 Title: Some websites load as mobile versions (Firefox Ubuntu 10.10) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
