Anyway, just in case somebody comes here searching for a fix.

Type about:config in the location bar
Go to the following key
general.useragent.vendorComment
and change the value  "maverick" to something else. You can leave it blank, put 
"lucid+1", "natty-1" or whatever.
After some trial and error, I have found that for some reason, the problem is 
the "r", so you can as well type "mave*ick"

As an idea to avoid future problems, I would suggest to leave vendorComment key 
blank.
It's true that webs shouldn't mess up with this, but the fact is that they do. 
(In fact that's the only reason why all this user agent mess exists).
