Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lxsession
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu. Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic. lxsession: Installed: 0.4.4-3 Candidate: 0.4.4-3 Version table: *** 0.4.4-3 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) What you expected to happen If lxsession is already running, and I run it as second time (perhaps by accident when I was intending to run lxsession-logout), I expect it to give me a warning and exit, perhaps with a non-zero return code. 4) What happened instead lxsession does give a warning, but then dumps core, which is unexpected in this situation. For example: ~> lxsession ** ERROR **: Only one lxsession can be executed at a time. aborting... zsh: abort (core dumped) lxsession ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: lxsession 0.4.4-3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.37-12.26-generic 2.6.37 Uname: Linux 2.6.37-12-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jan 19 18:26:43 2011 ProcEnviron: LC_TIME=en_DK.utf8 PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/zsh SourcePackage: lxsession ** Affects: lxsession (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705230 Title: lxsession core dumps if it is already running -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
