Charlie: The bug was in libgsf, not Gnumeric. Since Gnumeric uses libgsf the bug of course showed in Gnumeric. The bug was fixed in version 1.14.18 of libgsf. The last release of libgsf was 1.14.19. (You are of course right that the last version of Gnumeric is 1.10.12, but that is beside the point.) Gnumeric 1.10.12 requires libgsf 1.14.18 or later so with Gnumeric 1.10.12 the bug will not occur in that version.
