Sorry for spamming with updates. I think I've stumbled upon two bugs: one dealing with Ubuntu _detecting_ my monitor (the nv) driver. If I use the nv driver (or just zap my config file) 1440x900 works fine once I add it in there. So this bug just means that Ubuntu didn't recognize my monitor, but once I tell it what it can do, Ubuntu works fine. So just a small detection issue there.
The other bug seems to be with nVidia's binary driver which misdetects my monitor, and refuses to run at 1440x900. I'll be looking for what I can do there. So long story short: this bug is about Ubuntu just not correctly setting up my monitor, once I edit xorg.conf, it works fine. -- I can not use my monitor's native resolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104491 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
